After being out of the job market for 10 years she ended up in the Corporate World of construction and brought in over $7M in bids for her firm. Then, in 2008, along with her husband, she founded a commercial furniture installation company. True, it wasn’t the best time to start a business, but they knuckled down and successfully generated a multi 6-figure business that stretched from the West to the East Coast until he passed away in 2016.
After the loss of Donna’s husband, her message of healing and self-care via her social media vlog: “Daily Dose A Donna” took the media by storm – Her unique message of being intentional and readjusting to life after loss, offers strategic, yet simple and effective tools providing inspiration, clarity and purpose for those looking to flourish.
When a colleague turned to her and said, “Girl, how’d you find love two-times in a row?” She knew she had to get out there and show others how to look for love in all the right places. Her book: DATING: It’s Not Personal is used to get them on the right track before she coaches them. “I began writing it when I was dating in my 40’s so it’s a blueprint of how I met my late-husband. When I was ready to date again, I re-read it for a refresher. I mean, it worked so well last time.”
In 2020, she and her now-husband Jeff won the Forbes Riley’s Excelly “Power Couple of Excellence” Award, and co-created “The Meador Affect” coming soon to television offering tongue-in-cheek humor while talking about real-life stuff.
